Minister Sushanta Chowdhury meets SDMs, officers to strengthen PDS
Jun 02, 2023The state food and civil supplies minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday chaired a video conference with the SDMs and officers of the food department of all the eight districts of the state and directed the officials to strengthen the Public Distribution System.
During the meeting, the minister took stock of the storage of various food items for the consumers and directed the officials to take necessary measures to keep stocks in the warehouses of the food department in accordance with the demand before the specified time.
Besides, he also instructed the officials to conduct regular on-ground monitoring in the markets to keep the price of daily necessities stable.
Additional Director of Food and Public Procurement Animesh Debbarma, Deputy Director Abhijit Biswas, Subrata Majumder and others were present in the meeting.
