BJP will return to power in Tripura for more development: Himanta

With the end of filing of nomination papers by the candidates of ruling BJP party and the oppositions, the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday claimed that the BJP will return to power in Tripura for development and peace.

Himanta arrived here at Agartala and accompanied Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for submission of nomination paper from Town Bordowali constituency. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh among other leaders joined the party’s rally of nomination paper submission here at Agartala.

“BJP will win this election and will return to power with more seats than that of the 2018 tally,” Himanta said, adding that BJP will form the government on its own this time, despite the IPFT is an ally to the BJP and will remain so.

He claimed, “Tripura witnessed large scale development during the past five years and the people of this state who were reeling under the reign of terror during the last 25 years before 2018 will vote for the BJP in large number.”
