National Law University to be set up soon in Tripura: Edu Minister


Agartala, Feb 04: The proposed National Law University which is to be set up in Tripura to start functioning from the next academic year. Education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Friday chaired a crucial meeting with the MLA of Bamutia, Chairman of SMC Committee of Narsinghgarh High School, representatives of TIT College and other officials at the secretariat regarding the setting up of the law varsity.

"Preparations are underway to start teaching in "National Law University" from next academic year in the building of Judicial Academy at Narsinghgarh. A bill in this regard will be introduced in the forthcoming assembly session," Nath said.

Permanent building for the National Law University will be constructed at the place where the Polytechnic building is currently existing and a new building for the Polytechnic will be constructed next to the grounds of Narsinghgarh School. Besides, in the empty space behind the Judicial Academy, quarters are to be constructed for the law varsity.
