Police arrested two thieves
Oct 10, 2022Two more members of the bike thief gang were arrested by Tripura Police today. Two more motorbikes were recovered from them. They are being interrogated by the police of West police station. The police of East and West police stations have been conducting continuous operations against the bike thief-robber gang recently.
The police are also getting success by raiding on the basis of secret information. Two people, including a helper of the thief gang, were caught by the police of East Police Station. A scooty-motor bike was also recovered. On the night of Lakshmi Puja, the police of West police station and Battala outpost conducted raids in Rajnagar area of the capital.
After seeing two people late at night, they were brought to the police station as they became suspicious. One of the arrested is Sujan Hossain. After interrogating them, the police recovered two more motorbikes. They also admitted to being members of a gang of thieves. Sadar Division Police Officer Ajay Kumar Das said that the arrested used to smuggle the stolen bikes to Bangladesh through Madhupur. He said that the police of West police station have caught 13 thieves in the last 15 days.
