CM Dr. Manik Saha advises Congress workers to formally join CPI(M) instead of alliance

At a time when the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party is inching closer to form a singly political venture to defeat the ruling BJP party, the ChiefMinister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday suggested the congress workers to formally join the CPI(M) instead of an electoral understanding for the election.

“The Congress leaders who once snapped all ties with the congress party for an understanding with the CPI(M) in West Bengal, the party leaders in Tripura opposed the move and joined the TMC party. But in a very peculiar political turn the same congress leaders in Tripura are inching closer to the CPI(M),” CM Dr. Saha told reporters.

The Chief Minister was interacting with the reporters here at Agartala on Saturday after laying the foundation stone of MB Tilla Market Complex.

Asked about another political development with the TIPRA Motha inviting IPT for an alliance, Dr. Saha said, “We are not bothered about what they are planning to do.”

Meanwhile, claiming that the BJP party is least bothered to the activities of the oppositions, Dr. Saha said, “While the opposition are confined to their party office and cadres, the BJP is working on the fields to maximize the people’s support and blessings.”
