CM Dr. Manik Saha appeals NSS volunteers to pledge for building Drug-free Tripura


Agartala, Nov 02: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Wednesday inaugurated the 54th state-level NSS day here at Agartala and appealed the NSS volunteers to take a pledge and help the government in building drug-free Tripura.

CM Dr. Ssha said, “Government is working tirelessly in making the state free from drugs and rescue the addicted youths from the trap and bring them to the main stream of their life. The government is also working to generate more awareness to restrict youths of the state from diving towards drug menace.”

“The NSS volunteers cam play a key role towards reaching the common people of this state with the government’s welfare and developmental works,” he said. The Chief Minister said that the disciplined life of people usually starts from the student age. The chief minister said, “In addition to studies, sports, yoga, cleanliness, cultural practices and regularly engaged in creative work are the main duties of students.

Apart from imparting quality education to the students, the state government is working towards the advancement of the youth society by implementing various vocational education, technical education and cultural programs.”
