Tripura polls: Left Front releases manifesto promises 2.5 lakh new jobs


In the poll bound Tripura the left front released their manifesto in the office headquarter of the CPI (M) through left front convener Narayan Kar and CPI (M) state secretary Jiten Chowdhury on Friday.

The 15-page manifesto promises to provide 2.5 lakh new jobs, hike in farmers wages, stringent law to deal with crimes against women, ensure media’s freedom, re-employment to the 10,323 teachers in government sectors, payment of dearness allowance to the government employees twice a year, reintroduction of old pension system and more autonomy to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

The manifesto has also promised to reduce the registration fee for transaction of land as well as to ensure that no person is harassed while transacting land business in registration offices. Most significantly, the manifesto has promised to supply drinking water for all free of cost. The women have also been promised action to ensure reservation of one third of seats in legislatures, increased opportunities for women in jobs and increase in the number of self-help groups by 75%.
