Tripura remembers Bengali writer Adwaita Mallabarman on his 110th birth anniversary


 Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated the 3-day long programme at Nalchar in Sepahijala district of the state, to mark the 110th birth anniversary of a Bengali writer Adwaita Mallabarman.

Adwaita Mallabarman was a Bengali Indian writer. He is mostly known for his novel ‘Titash Ekti Nadir Naam’ published in the monthly Mohammadi five years after his death.

Highlighting various aspects of Adwaita Mallabarman’s education and career, the Chief Minister said that the writings of the poet Adwaita Mallabarman are very relevant in the current society.

Both the Central and the state government has taken several initiatives for development and welfare of the people belonging to the Scheduled Castes. The main goal of the government is the development of all, he said.

He said, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is giving priority to the welfare of farmers, youth, women and poor people. Various steps have been taken to encourage the students of the Scheduled Caste community to get quality education.”
