Chief Minister paid tribute to martyrs


They are engaged day and night in protecting people's lives and property. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this on Police Memorial Day. Police Memorial Day is also celebrated in Tripura with due dignity. The ceremony was held at Manoranjan Debbarma Memorial Stadium of AD Nagar Police Line on Friday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and others were present. They paid tribute to the memory of all the police and security forces jawans who lost their lives in the line of duty. The ceremony paid tribute to 264 police and security forces jawans who were martyred in the line of duty from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022. This day's tribute ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Defense. Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the government will always stand by the families of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country's sovereignty.

He said that the police are an essential part of society. They are engaged day and night to protect people's lives and property. He said that on this day in 1959, the Chinese army ambushed Indian soldiers on patrol in Ladakh. Many Indian soldiers were martyred.
