In a joint operation Tripura Police along with Assam Rifles seized 22.5 grams of heroin worth Rs 1.5 lakh from Chandrapur in Dharmanagar on Wednesday.
The police stated that they received atip off, on the basis of the tip off Police personnel along with Assam Rifles conducted a raid in the house of Hussain All at Chandrapur in Dharmanagar. During the raid police recovered 22.5 grams of heroin worth Rs 1.5 lakh from the house. Hussain Al was found absconding, said police.
A specific case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 against Hussain Ali. We have already started investigation and accused Hussain Ali will be arrested soon, said police.
Meanwhile, in a separate raid on Thursday Police personnel from Sedhai police station along with TSIR and Mohanpur Administrative official conducted a raid at Bhramhakunda para and seized 4,000 Yaba tablets worth its 15 lakh from the house of Rupak Bhattacharjee
The police stated that they received a tip off, on the basis of the tip off Palice personnel from Sedhai police station along with TSR and Mohanpur Administrative official conducted a raid in the house of Rupak Bhattacharjee at Bhramhakunda para. During the raid police officials found 20 packets containing 4,000 yaba tablets worth Rs 15 lakh from the house. Rupak Bhattacharjee was found absconding from the house during the raid. Rupak Bhattacharjee is involved in drugs smuggling, said Police.
A specific case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 against Rupak Bhattacharjee. A hunt is on to arrest him, said cops.
