Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma on Sunday inaugurated "Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan" a 15-day long programme to raise awareness and ensure benefit saturation for tribal families across the state at Pragna Bhavan.
Speaking in the inaugural ceremony Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma emphasized the urgency of supporting citizens who still do not possess documents such as the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRTC), Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, and Birth Certificate. He reiterated the government’s commitment to taking administrative services directly to the people’s doorsteps.
“The DAGUA initiative is not just about distributing documents; it is a broader humanitarian effort to bring tribal families into the mainstream of development,” said the minister.
The camps will enable beneficiaries to obtain long-pending documents and access government welfare schemes, including the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Officials on site will assist with document verification, enrollment, and distribution.
Minister Debbarma noted that access to these essential services is a crucial step toward empowering communities. “By ensuring every citizen has the required documentation, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future, especially for our younger generation,” he added.
Cooperative minister Sukla Charan Noatia, MLA Pramod Reang, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and other dignitaries were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
