DWS Minister chairs review meet; directs officials to ensure proper implementation of Govt schemes
Jul 22, 2022The Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday emphasized on the completion of various government projects for public welfare within the specified time frame while maintaining proper quality.
Chowdhury was chairing a review meeting at Jirania SDM office conference hall on Friday with the officials of the concerned department.
He said that the development projects of the state and central government should be implemented quickly, while special attention should be paid to ensure that a broad section of the society is largely benefited from these schemes.
He also said that the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare should pay equal attention to ensure that the farmers who are largely dependent on agriculture in Jirania sub-division do not face any problem.
In the meeting, the agriculture supervisor of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department informed the minister that this time more paddy has been procured from the farmers of Jirania sub-division at the minimum support price.
