Police personnel of New capital complex police station arrested nine notorious thieves from Agartala on Wednesday.
The police stated that, on September 05 they received complaint from Vivek Sarkar resident of Assam Rifles area of Agartala regarding a theft in his house. During their investigation police found that a gang of notorious thieves were behind it. Immediately Police have activated their sources and arrested the nine notorious thieves who were behind the theft. Police recovered a gold chain, gas cylinders and water tapes worth Rs around two Lakh from their possession.
The arrested thieves were produced before the court on Wednesday.
Some young people are taking their lives to the brink of extinction, like heroin and brown sugar. Being addicted to drugs, they are also involved in various anti-social activities. Unable to raise money for drugs, some are organizing thefts at various homes and shops, which has led to an increase in thefts, said police.
