Intense heat wave forecasted for another 5 Days in Tripura
Apr 23, 2024The state Meteorological Department announced that an intense heat wave prevailing over a significant portion of Tripura will continue for another five days.
Days ahead of the second phase of polling on Friday, the Meteorological Department anticipated that heat-wave to severe heat-wave conditions are likely to spell in the next five days across the state.
On the possibility of rain, an official of the department informed that the Unakoti, North and Dhalai district of the state may witness rain in the next three days.
In view of the high humidity, which could add to people's inconvenience, the official said that the field workers especially should avoid going out in sunny weather during the noon hours. He said amid this scorching heat wave, people should drink an adequate amount of water and lemonade. One should also wear light dresses to get rid of the warm and humid weather.
