Tripura Govt to host ‘Mayer Gomon’ – Carnival on Oct 26: CM Dr. Manik Saha
Oct 01, 2023Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday pitched for a peaceful Durga puja festival ahead and said that the government will host its ‘Mayer Gomon’ – Durga Puja Carnival on October 26 next to end the festival. Tripura government hosted the first ever Durga Puja Carnival in the year 2019.
Dr. Saha on Sunday attended the preparatory meeting of Mayer Gomon & Sharad Somman-2023 here at Agartala Muktadhara Auditorium.
In the preparatory meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials of the concerned department to repair all the roads in the city before the festival begins.
Addressing the representatives of various clubs and organizations present at the meeting, the Chief Minister urged for a peaceful festival and abide by the rules and regulations of the government during the festive season.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder said that like previous years, special initiatives will be taken for the cleanliness of the city. The AMC has taken all out efforts to ensure a pollution free festival.
