BJP urges voters to stay away from conspiracy by CPI(M), Congress

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tuesday came down heavily on both the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party and alleged that both the parties, which are two sides of the same coin is leaving no stone unturned to hatch conspiracy against the BJP party and its coalition government ahead of the poll.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday here at the party office at Krishnanagar, the party’s spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said, “Just as the election is drawing near, the opposition CPI(M) party and the Congress owned a new ideology of uniting together to hatch conspiracy against the BJP government in the name of tyranny.”

“The Congress party which used to blame the CPI(M) party and its Left front government alleging of misrule during the last 25 years, is now pitching in line with that of CPI(M) and on other hand, the CPI(M) which used the call the Congress as anti-nationalist is now shaking hands with that Congress party,” he said.

He continued attacking the oppositions and said, “The Congress and the CPI(M) party is the two sides of a coin and recently in view of the ensuing election, they adopted a strategy to do malign campaign against the BJP government, which is in a move to fulfil the commitments made to the people of the state.”

“As the BJP government is working for all round development of the state starting from the infrastructural development to ensuring education for all, the opposition CPI(M) party is not willing to accept these,” he said.

Meanwhile, the BJP party on Tuesday thanked the government for announcing a hike of DA and DR by 12% for government employees and pensioners and termed it as ‘historical’ with two-figure DA. Chakraborty said, “The announcement of DA hike by 12% itself cites an example of the BJP’s Saab Ka Saath, Saab Ka Vikas. The BJP government believes in working for the people of this state and especially for the last man in a society.”

“Now that the government today announced 12% DA for its employees and pensioners, the opposition CPI(M) party has been found castigating the government. To remind the fact is that it was in the year 2016, that the Tripura High Court has directed the then Tripura government to release the 42% pending DA for its government employees and pensioners and following this the then finance minister Bhanulal Saha moved to the Supreme Court to challenge the direction of the Tripura HC and he said that government will not be able to pay the pending DA as it will hamper the developmental works in the state,” he told reporters.

He said, “This is how the Left front government went paralysed that it had to say that developmental works will be hampered if the pending Das are released for employees. This is how the 25 years rule of the Left front government had deprived the employees of this state.”
