BJP is the only political party that could guarantee prosperity, security and well-being of people of North East: Kiren Rijiju
Oct 31, 2023BJP leader Kiren Rijiju said on Tuesday that BJP is the only political party that could guarantee the prosperity, security and well-being of the people of Mizoram and the North East.
Addressing a press conference in Aizawl, the Minister said that the party is committed to fulfill the promises that have been reflected in the “Vision Document of Mizoram”.
Rejecting the Congress, Mr Rijiju said that the people in the North East have faced enough humiliation for the last 60 years under the Congress regime. He said that the people in the North East were abused and discriminated against in the past. However, things have changed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power. He further said that the North East Police Cell has been set up in Delhi Police for the welfare of the North East people. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only leader who cares for the tribal people. He further said that the Government has declared the birthday of Birsa Munda as Bharat Janjativa Gauva Diwas in honour of all tribal freedom fighters.
Referring to the terror attack by Hamas on Israel, he said that the BJP condemns all forms of terrorism.
Mr Rijiju assured that Mizoram will be one of the most prosperous state in the country. He expressed the hope that the North East will become the most vibrant and economic hub under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, with just a week away from the polling day, campaigning is at its peak with all political parties and independent candidates reaching out to woo the voters. Election for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly will be held on November 7. More than 8 lakh voters will decide the fate of 174 candidates.
