CM Dr. Manik Saha demands direct flight from Agartala to Mumbai, Hyderabad
Apr 24, 2023Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Monday met the Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotirmoy Scindia at Delhi and demanded Agartala MBB airport be declared as an international airport and introduce direct flight from Agartala to Mumbai and Hyderabad.
“We interacted on various matters including declaration of MBB Airport as International Airport, installation of Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya’s statue at new airport terminal, introducing direct flight from Agartala to Mumbai & Hyderabad, operation of night flights & re-introduction of air cargo services from #Tripura,” Dr. Saha tweeted.
Earlier, the state transport minister Sushanta Chowdhury demanded the Centre for operation of flight at night from Agartala MBB airport by deploying more CISF jawans in the airport. Presently there is no flight service from the airport after 7:40 PM.
