Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday launched the Centre’s Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) camp here in the central zone of the Agartala Municipal Corporation at Agartala and said that the government is working to ensure that every household in the state is delivered with the government schemes.

“The Viksit Sankalp Yatra and Prati Ghare Sushasan 2.0 campaign has been launched with the aim of fulfilling the basic needs of the people. These two programs have been launched to ensure that even the most marginalized people in the society have access to government schemes and services,” Dr Saha said.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working to deliver the benefits of various flagship projects of the central government to the people of all sections.

He said, “Many people in rural and urban areas are not aware of the benefits of various government schemes and services including central flagship schemes. The evolving Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will roll 16 mobile campaign vehicles in the state. Already 3 mobile campaign vehicles have arrived in the state.”

The vehicles will play an instrumental role in making people aware of government schemes and services in various towns in rural and urban areas of the state, he said, adding that people need to be made more aware of public-oriented schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Skill India, Make in India, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and others.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Deepak Majumder said that such camps have already been completed in North, East and South Zonal under the initiative of AMC. About 3000 citizens were benefited from these camps, he stated.
