Two drug paddlers arrested
Apr 26, 2023The police of NCC police station have again succeeded in the anti-narcotics operation. Defence forces have arrested two drug dealers from Shyamoli Bazar area based on secret information. A police official said that it was possible to recover 9 mobiles with a large quantity of brown sugar, yaba tablets, and other narcotic capsules from them by searching them. He said that the anti-narcotics operation is ongoing across Tripura.
Accordingly, police raided Shyamoli Bazar, GB Bazar and Gwala basti areas on Tuesday night. Later, NCC police received information that drug paraphernalia would be smuggled in Shyamoli Bazar area. Based on that news, the police were waiting in Shyamoli Bazar area. At that time, two young men were travelling in an auto with the intention of smuggling drugs, police followed them and arrested them.
He also said that they were arrested at night and brought to the police station. The arrested are Sanjay Debnath and Ajay Kumar Das. The police have started investigation by taking a case against them under NDPS section.
