Tripura Police arrested one drug peddler and seized 290 containers of heroin, Rs 22,000 cash, Nava Shantiganj area under Takarjala Police Station on Wednesday.
The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off regarding one drug peddler, on the basis of the tip-off a police personnel from Takarjala Police Station along with Tripura State Rifles (TSR) raided the house of drug peddler Mithun Mia in Nava Shantiganj area under Takarjala Police Station.
During the raid, police officials found 290 containers of heroin, Rs 22,000 cash from the house of drug peddler Nava Shantiganj area. The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
