Rajasthan: PM Modi launches development projects worth over Rs. 5,000 crore at Nathdwara


Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth over five thousand 500 crore rupees at Nathdwara in Rajasthan today. These include four national highways and three rail projects. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of Udaipur railway station, Gauge conversion project, and a new line from Nathdwara to Nathdwara town. Mr Modi dedicated three national highway projects to the nation, including 114 km long six-lane Udaipur to Shamlaji section of NH-48, 110 km long widening and strengthening of Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur Section of NH-25, and two lane with paved shoulder section of NH 58E.

 Addressing the programme, Mr Modi said that these projects will take connectivity of Rajasthan to new heights.

 Mr Modi Modi said the Government of India believes in the mantra of development of the country through the development of States. That is why the government is laying maximum emphasis on building modern infrastructure in Rajasthan and other states. He said modern infrastructure does not only mean rail and road, but it also connects cities and villages by reducing distance between them. It promotes heritage as well as accelerates development. Mr Modi said that work on all kinds of infrastructure in the country is going on at an unprecedented pace and the government is investing thousands of crores.

 The Prime Minister said that infrastructure is essential for sustainable growth and faster development. He said that those who weigh everything with the help of vote scales at every step, they are never able to plan keeping in mind the future of the country. Because of this thinking in the country, infrastructure construction was not given priority and the country has suffered a lot due to this.

 Mr Modi said that under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, three and a half lakh kilometers of new roads have been built in villages in the last nine years. Out of these, 70 thousand kilometers of roads have been built in Rajasthan. He said most villages in the country are now connected with roads. The Government is also engaged in connecting cities with highways.  The speed at which the construction work of the National Highway was being done before 2014, now the work is being done twice as fast. Whose benefits have been received by many districts of Rajasthan. Mr Modi said that people of the 21st century want to reach maximum distance in less time and also want maximum facilities. His government is working at all levels to fulfill this aspiration of the people.
