SHGs plays key role in making country self-reliant: Union MoS Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti
Sep 26, 2023The Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Tuesday interacted with the members of the Self-Help Groups at Mohanpur R D Block and said that the SHGs have a crucial roe to play towards making the country self-reliant.
Appreciating the role of self-help groups of Tripura, the Jyoti said that many self-help groups of Tripura are participating in the self-help group program organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi with their products. Their products are also appreciated by a wide range of people, she added.
She said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special attention to the development of North Eastern states. As a result, the communication system of the region has improved at large and in addition to this the overall development of the NE region of the country is accelerated.”
The union MoS visited the exhibition of products produced by the members of self-help groups. Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhi Niranjan Jyoti also inaugurated Amrita Sarovar at Rangacherra Gram Panchayat of Mohanpur Block.
