Tripura Women’s Football team to play final of Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup 2025
Mar 24, 2025The Tripura Women’s Football team has secured their place in the finals of the prestigious Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup 2025 by defeating the Assam Women’s team on Monday at Lokra, Assam. The Tripura Women’s Football team defeated the Assam Women’s team by 1-0. The much-anticipated final match is scheduled for March 28, at Laitkor, Shillong, where the Women’s Football team will face the formidable Assam Rifles Women’s Team.
The Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm on March 16 at the Lokra Garrison Football Ground, featuring seven women’s teams from across the Northeast region. The success of the Tripura Women’s Football Team is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Tripura Football Association and the Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles. The Agartala Battalion played a pivotal role by initiating the team’s participation in this esteemed tournament, providing comprehensive support in training, and addressing all administrative requirements to ensure the team’s preparedness and focus.
