No violence, murder occurred in Tripura after BJP came to power; peace prevailing in Tripura: Himanta Biswa Sharma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Monday claimed that there has been no violence and murder during the last five years of the BJP government in Tripura.

Addressing a party gathering at Killa in Bagma Assembly constituency on Monday the Assam Chief minister said, “There used to be a large scale of violence, murder and other crimes in the state of Tripura during the rule of previous government, but people of Tripura started witnessing peace and all round development after the BJP formed government.”

Himanta on Monday underlined the five years achievement of the BJP government in Tripura and said, “Starting from hiking social pension to Rs. 2000, the BJP government in Tripura has hiked DA by 12% for the government employees and in addition to this salary of ASHA and Anganwadi workers has also been hiked.”

“Earlier before the BJP formed government in Tripura and during the time of Left government, a Grade-IV employees used to get a monthly salary of Rs. 23000, who now receives Rs. 37000 per month under the rule of BJP government,” he claimed, adding that the CPI(M) never wanted development rather they only know how to bark on development.

He said, “The CPI(M) could not do such development during the last 25 years on their regime like that of what BJP has done in Tripura during the last five years.”

“The communist party is found nowhere across the country, because people of this nation had pushed this CPI(M) out to let them sit inside forever,” he said.

He however said, “Looking at the public enthusiasm, I am certain that our party shall once again win the mandate of the people of Tripura in the upcoming election.”
