Cattle Rearers To Gain Most From Cooperation Ministry, Says Amit Shah
Oct 03, 2026
Cattle rearers will be among the biggest beneficiaries of the formation of the Ministry of Cooperation, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said at the state-level Gau Palak Sammelan in Bhopal on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Shah said the Narendra Modi government is developing a complete ecosystem around cattle rearing, with the aim of giving a new boost to the rural economy. Shah further emphasized that, the ecosystem includes converting cow dung into biogas and organic fertiliser, processing dairy products and providing market access. He said cattle rearers would be among those benefiting the most from the Ministry of Cooperation, which the government has formed.
Meanwhile, speaking on criminal justice reforms, Shah said that once the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) is fully implemented, India's criminal justice system will become the most modern in the world. He added that after full implementation of the BNS, cases could be disposed of within three years, from the registration of an FIR to the Supreme Court. Shah's address at the sammelan thus covered two themes: the government's plans for the rural economy through cattle rearing, and the expected impact of the BNS on the criminal justice system.
