127 Youths Receive Appointment Letters at 20th Rozgar Mela in Shillong

Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita on Saturday handed over appointment letters to 127 newly recruited youths during the 20th Rozgar Mela held at the State Convention Centre in Shillong.

The appointment letters were issued to candidates appointed to various government departments and posts.

Addressing the gathering, Margherita congratulated the newly appointed candidates and expressed confidence that they would discharge their responsibilities with integrity, dedication and pride.

He said the Government of India is working to create an ecosystem that enables young people to study, work, innovate and build their careers within the region instead of having to move elsewhere for opportunities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the newly appointed candidates and their families while addressing the Rozgar Mela through video conferencing.

Modi said the young people joining government service would play an important role in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He also urged them to follow the principle of “Nagarik Devo Bhava” and contribute to nation-building.

The 20th Rozgar Mela was organised simultaneously at 45 locations across the country, with more than 51,000 appointment letters being distributed to newly recruited youths for various government posts.
