State Election Commission Sets Sept 17-25 Timeline for Polling Station Lists

The process to finalize polling station lists for Tripura's upcoming Urban Local Body elections will begin on September 17 and conclude by September 25, according to a notification issued by the State Election Commission on September 14.
The notification, issued in exercise of powers under Rule 3 of the Tripura Municipalities (Conduct of Election) Rules, 1995, sets out a four stage schedule for finalising the list of polling stations for the General Election to Urban Local Bodies, 2026.
As per the schedule, the draft publication of the list of polling stations will take place on September 17. This will be followed by a period for lodging claims, objections and suggestions on September 21.
Disposal of these claims and objections is scheduled for September 23, and the final publication of the list of polling stations will follow on September 25.
