Madrasa Assault Complaint Withdrawn After Social Mediation in Fulbaria Kandi

An alleged case of a teacher physically assaulting a student at Fulbaria Kandi Barkhola Hafizia Madrasa has been amicably resolved after the local samaj panchayat, the elected Gram Panchayat and the madrasa managing committee intervened and held discussions with the student's family.

Following the resolution, the student's father, Monaf Ali, has decided to withdraw the complaint he had filed at Kailashahar police station over the August 12 incident.

According to reports, the matter began after a teacher of the madrasa allegedly beat a student. Monaf Ali subsequently lodged a complaint against the teacher at Kailashahar police station, and the incident was later reported in various media outlets.

After the complaint came to light, the local Samaj Panchayat, the elected Gram Panchayat and the madrasa managing committee took the matter seriously and began discussions. The managing committee reportedly reached out to the student's family and held talks with Monaf Ali, during which the student's future, safety and, if needed, medical treatment were discussed. It is learned that the committee assured it would bear medical expenses should the student require treatment.

Satisfied with the committee's assurance of action against the teacher and continued support for his family, Monaf Ali decided to withdraw his earlier complaint and has applied to Kailashahar police station accordingly.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Monaf Ali said he had filed the complaint in anger and emotional distress upon learning of the incident involving his son. However, he expressed satisfaction that the local bodies and the madrasa committee had taken the matter seriously and resolved it. He added that he would send his son back to the same madrasa and that he currently has no further complaints regarding the matter.
