Around 70 Donate Blood at Voluntary Camp in Dukli

Around 70 donors took part in a voluntary blood donation camp held on Sunday at the Community Hall of Ward No. 51 in Dukli, organised by serving and retired government employees under Suryamaninagar Assembly constituency.

The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and MLA Ram Prasad Paul. Among those present at the event were Ward No. 51 Councillor Sushanta Chandra Bhowmik, Government Employees Committee president Rupak Kumar Dutta, and other government employees.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Paul highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation. He said there is no alternative to blood, and that a single act of voluntary donation can play a crucial role in saving the life of a patient in critical condition.

During his address, Paul also spoke on various political matters. He criticised the CPI(M) over its campaign activities and other political actions.

All those present welcomed the blood donation camp, organised through the initiative of serving and retired government employees, as a humanitarian effort. The organisers expressed hope that such initiatives, aimed at standing by people in society through voluntary blood donation, would continue in the days ahead.
