Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Sunday conferred with Uzbekistan’s highest state honour, the Order of Oliy Darajali Dustlik, by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent.
Expressing his gratitude, PM Modi said he was honoured to receive the prestigious award. He dedicated the recognition to the 1.4 billion people of India, saying it symbolises the enduring friendship and close ties between India and Uzbekistan.
The award also reflects the deep historical and civilisational connections shared by the two countries and underscores the growing strength of India-Uzbekistan relations.
