CM Manik Saha Hands Appointment Letters to 42 New Doctors

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 42 newly recruited General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs), reaffirming his government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s public healthcare system.
The appointment letters were distributed at a programme held at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, where the Chief Minister congratulated the newly appointed doctors and extended his best wishes as they begin their professional careers in the state’s health services.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said the government is working to further improve healthcare delivery by strengthening medical infrastructure, introducing advanced technologies and ensuring the availability of an adequate number of doctors across the state.
He stressed the importance of providing accessible and quality healthcare to people, particularly by improving the availability of modern medical services at government health facilities.
The Chief Minister said the induction of the new GDMOs would help strengthen the state’s healthcare workforce and contribute to improving medical services for people across Tripura.
Dr. Saha reiterated that the state government would continue its efforts to build a strong, people-centric and welfare-oriented healthcare system. He said the ultimate objective is to ensure that quality and modern medical services are accessible to every section of society.
The appointment of the 42 GDMOs is expected to further augment the state’s healthcare manpower and support the delivery of medical services to people across Tripura.
