CM Manik Saha Lays Foundation for ₹29.12-Crore School Projects

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday laid the foundation stones for new school buildings at five educational institutions across the state, marking a major step towards strengthening school infrastructure. The projects, estimated to cost ₹29.12 crore, are aimed at providing students with improved learning spaces and modern facilities.
The foundation stones were laid for new buildings at PM SHRI A.D. Nagar Higher Secondary English Medium School, Bardowali Class XII School, Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, Charipara Class XII School and Hapania Class XII School.
Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said his government has been according priority to the overall development of school education, with particular emphasis on infrastructure and essential facilities. He said efforts are being made to ensure that students across Tripura have access to better educational environments and improved facilities.
As part of the government’s broader initiatives in the education sector, Dr. Saha also virtually inaugurated classroom facilities in 240 schools across the state. The initiative is expected to improve the availability and quality of classroom infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The Chief Minister also virtually launched the pilot project of Naksha in the Agartala Municipal Corporation area, adding another dimension to the day’s development initiatives.
Dr. Saha said the projects reflect the government’s continued commitment to strengthening the education system and ensuring the comprehensive development of school infrastructure across Tripura. The new buildings and classroom facilities are expected to benefit a large number of students by providing safer, better-equipped and more modern learning spaces.
The programmes were attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Ward No. 39 Corporator Alok Roy and other officials and public representatives.
The initiatives are part of the state government’s continued efforts to upgrade educational infrastructure and provide students with better facilities, while laying the foundation for a stronger and more accessible school education system in Tripura.
