West Tripura District Administration Discuss Drug Addiction Treatment, Rehabilitation at Meeting

Representatives from government departments, healthcare institutions and registered rehabilitation centres today attended a meeting on drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation, chaired by the District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura.
The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the DM & Collectorate, West Tripura, Agartala, and focused on strengthening efforts towards drug addiction prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration in the district.
According to the details shared, discussions were held on enhancing coordination among the participating departments and institutions to ensure effective support and rehabilitation for individuals affected by drug addiction. Officials from training institutions were also part of the deliberations held during the meeting.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment towards building a healthier, safer and drug-free West Tripura. It is learnt that the meeting emphasised the need for a coordinated approach involving healthcare institutions and rehabilitation centres to strengthen the support system available to affected individuals.
The meeting concluded with an understanding on continuing joint efforts among the concerned departments and institutions towards addressing drug addiction in the district.
