STGT-Qualified Candidates Issue Ultimatum, Demand Simultaneous Recruitment of All 3,000 Youths

Warning of a larger mass movement in the coming days, over a hundred STGT-qualified candidates organized a protest rally on Monday, demanding that the state government recruit all 3,000 successful candidates from the 2025 exams in a single phase.
Seeking to directly address the state leadership, the qualified candidates gathered and commenced a coordinated march toward the official residence of the Chief Minister. However, police personnel intercepted the rally as it reached the front of Tulshibati School, effectively halting their progress and preventing the crowd from advancing further.
Following the police blockade, the agitated youths held their ground at the interception point. Reportedly, the protesters subsequently handed over a formal deputation, explicitly addressed to the Chief Minister, to a local Deputy Collector and Magistrate (DCM) present at the scene.
The primary catalyst for the demonstration on Monday is a recent government hiring directive. According to the agitating candidates, approximately 3,000 youths successfully passed the Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT) examination in 2025. Meanwhile, the state administration has currently issued a recruitment notification to fill only 1,700 vacant posts.
Consequently, this partial allocation has sparked widespread anxiety, creating severe uncertainty regarding the professional future of the remaining qualified youths. The protesters firmly articulated their core grievance during the rally, arguing that since all the candidates cleared the exact same standardized examination, every eligible individual must be brought under the purview of recruitment simultaneously.
The memorandum submitted to the administration clearly outlines this single-point demand for equal and immediate employment. Moreover, the protesting candidates utilized the platform to deliver a stern ultimatum to the state authorities. They warned that if the government fails to initiate swift and effective measures to resolve the discrepancy and hire all 3,000 youths, the frustrated candidates will be forced to launch a much larger, sustained mass movement in the coming days to secure their demands.
