Tripura Launches T-RISE Portal, Signs Key Corporate Agreements to Power Startup Ecosystem

To accelerate grassroots entrepreneurship and attract investments across all sectors, the Government of Tripura entered into strategic partnerships with T-Hub, Amazon, Zoho, and HDFC Bank on Monday while rolling out its flagship T-RISE startup integration platform in Agartala.
Organized by the Directorate of Information Technology in collaboration with Hyderabad based innovation catalyst T-Hub, the "Building a Unicorn in Tripura" workshop aimed to inspire emerging entrepreneurs to build high growth, scalable enterprises. The centrepiece of the event at Pragya Bhavan was the launch of the Tripura Registry and Integration for Startup Ecosystem portal.
This digital platform will function as a single window gateway, linking local innovators with an active network comprising more than 20 mentors, 10 investors, and 10 corporate entities, alongside various government departments and academic institutions.
Minister for Information Technology, Finance, Planning and Coordination Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated the summit. Highlighting the vision of the current administration, the minister addressed the gathering of industry leaders, investors, and startup founders.
"We are creating an enabling ecosystem through progressive policies, digital infrastructure, and strategic collaborations to attract investment, promote innovation, and generate high-quality employment," the minister stated.
To ensure startups receive comprehensive support, officials exchanged memorandums of understanding with HDFC Bank Limited, Amazon Seller Services Private Limited, and Zoho Corporation Private Limited. These collaborations are designed to provide early stage companies with specialized financial products, e-commerce market access, export opportunities, and cloud technologies.
According to official statistics shared during the event, the New Sector-Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy has already yielded promising results. The directorate has received over 185 applications, approved 140 registrations, and formally recognized 70 startups. Moreover, the state has distributed more than Rs 2.72 crore in financial aid through the Tri-Seed Fund, Proof of Concept support, and operational grants.
The administration is further strengthening its infrastructure through the T-NEST state level incubation centre located at the International Business Centre in Hapania. The day concluded with expert led mentoring sessions by T-Hub and an interactive discussion with Skyroot Aerospace Vice President Tejaswi Bhagavatula, offering attendees crucial insights into business scaling, fundraising, and market expansion strategies.
