Central BJP Appoints Biplab Kumar Deb as National GS, CM Dr. Saha Hails Decision

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central leadership in New Delhi recently elevated Tripura Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb to the key position of National General Secretary, a decision welcomed warmly by the state's current leadership.
Meanwhile, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha congratulated Deb on official social media channels, stating that the former Chief Minister's administrative expertise will be a major asset to the party's nationwide operations.
Welcoming the central leadership's decision, Chief Minister Saha wrote on his official account, "Heartiest congratulations to Shri Biplab Kumar Deb Ji on being appointed as the National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Your extensive administrative experience and grassroots leadership will significantly strengthen the party organization nationwide. Wishing you immense success in this new responsibility."
According to BJP central leadership, the appointments were sanctioned by BJP National President Nitin Nabin and signed by National General Secretary and Office Incharge Arun Singh. The official notification confirmed that all new appointments come into effect forthwith.
Under the new organizational framework, Deb joins a team of eight National General Secretaries representing diverse states. The list includes Vinod Tawde from Maharashtra, Sunil Bansal from Delhi, Smriti Irani and Harish Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Satish Poonia from Rajasthan, Gajendra Patel from Madhya Pradesh, and Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana.
Moreover, the party announced focused leadership for the region, appointing Dr. Sambit Patra as the North-East Coordinator and Rajiv Babbar as the North-East Joint Coordinator. Among other regional leaders, Phangnon Konyak from Nagaland and Mriganka Deo Barman from Assam were designated as National Secretaries alongside fourteen others.
The broader reshuffle also retained B.L. Santhosh as National General Secretary for Organization, assisted by Joint General Secretaries Shivprakash and Saudan Singh. In addition, the central leadership appointed thirteen National Vice Presidents, including Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, and Ram Madhav, while Union Minister Piyush Goyal was assigned the responsibility of National Treasurer.
