Tripura BJP Observes Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at the Tripura Pradesh BJP headquarters in Agartala on Saturday with the participation of party leaders and workers.
Tripura Pradesh BJP president Abhishek Debroy hoisted the national flag at the party office in the presence of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, BJP leader Papia Datta and other party functionaries.
Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, the leaders paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the country’s independence.
Addressing the gathering, Abhishek Debroy said Independence Day is an occasion to remember with gratitude the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who secured the precious legacy of an independent India.
He said the true meaning of freedom goes beyond liberation from foreign rule and encompasses patriotism, civic responsibility and a continued commitment to national progress.
Debroy called upon citizens to take a collective pledge on the occasion to build a strong, self-reliant, prosperous and progressive India. He also stressed the importance of protecting the rights of every citizen and ensuring inclusive development.
