Urgent Meeting Held in West Tripura on SWM Rules 2026 Implementation, Supreme Court Compliance

An urgent meeting on the implementation of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2026 was held on 14th August at the Conference Hall of the Office of the DM & Collector, West Tripura District. Chaired by the Additional District Magistrate & Collector, the meeting also reviewed compliance with the Supreme Court's order dated 05.05.2026 in Civil Appeal No. 6174/2023.
The meeting was attended by concerned administrative authorities, municipal bodies and line departments of the district.
Officials at the meeting discussed measures to ensure effective compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court. Moreover, they reviewed the progress made in implementing the SWM Rules, 2026, in West Tripura District.
