Civil Service Probationers Get Insight into Civil-Security Coordination During Assam Rifles Visit

Probationary officers of the Tripura Civil Service 2026 batch gained first-hand insight into coordination between civil administration and security forces during a visit to the 21 Sector Assam Rifles headquarters in Agartala on Monday.
The visit, involving 27 probationers, formed part of their professional orientation and familiarisation with Tripura's security and administrative setup. During the visit, they were briefed in detail on the history, evolution, organisational structure and functioning of the Assam Rifles, with particular focus on the force's role and responsibilities in Tripura.
The exchange gave the trainee officers an understanding of the multifaceted role of the Assam Rifles in maintaining security, preserving peace and stability, and coordinating with civil administration in the state.
The probationers were also briefed on the special security and developmental challenges facing the Northeast, including the force's role in maintaining regional stability, supporting national development initiatives, and building ties with local communities.
The visit offered the probationers practical exposure to the importance of effective coordination between administrative officers and security forces, particularly in addressing the Northeast's various challenges through cooperation between civil administration and security agencies.
The session concluded with an emphasis on building closer institutional understanding and cooperation between civil administration and security forces to develop a peaceful, secure and development-oriented Tripura.
