Domestic equity markets ended nearly flat on Monday, with benchmark indices posting modest gains.
The Sensex rose 43 points to close at 78,542, while the Nifty gained 13 points to settle at 24,584.
In the broader market, the Midcap 100 index on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) advanced more than 0.6%. In contrast, the Smallcap 100 index slipped nearly 0.3%.
