CM Dr. Saha Inaugurates New 45-Bedded Multispeciality Hospital in Agartala

Agartala, Aug 9: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated the 45-bedded Supra Multispeciality Hospital at Old Motor Stand in Agartala on Sunday morning, followed by a Mega Blood Donation Camp organised by the hospital authority to mark the occasion. According to a press release given by the hospital authority on Saturday, the inauguration took place at 10 am, with the blood donation camp held soon after.The hospital, located opposite Tripura Gramin Bank, has been set up to provide comprehensive multispeciality and superspeciality OPD and IPD services under one roof. According to the hospital management, the facility aims to make advanced medical care accessible to patients without the need to travel far from home.
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic, surgical, critical care and support facilities, including X-ray, pathology, endoscopy and pharmacy services. It features three modular operation theatres, modern anaesthesia equipment, a 6-bedded ICU, a high-frequency C-arm machine and a 4K Stryker laparoscopic system. Dr Rajib Debnath, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, briefed those present on the hospital's infrastructure and patient-focused approach. The facility will offer a range of surgical and medical services, including complex orthopaedic surgeries, joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries, advanced laparoscopic surgeries, general surgeries, and gynaecological surgeries, along with multispeciality and superspeciality OPD and IPD care.
To strengthen access to superspeciality treatment, the hospital has been associated with Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru. Dr Manish Rai, Zonal Hospital Director, Bangalore, and Ram Gopal Bardhan, Chief Manager, International Healthcare Services, shared details of the facilities and expertise that will be made accessible through the collaboration. In a post shared on social media, Chief Minister Manik Saha said, "Alongside strengthening the government health service system, the contribution of private hospitals is also playing an important role in further expanding and improving the state's health infrastructure. Today I inaugurated Supra Multispeciality Hospital at Motor Stand in Agartala and also attended the blood donation camp organised on this occasion. I believe this new hospital will further increase the scope of quality multispeciality health services for the people of Tripura." Meanwhile, the hospital management has invited the people of Tripura, healthcare professionals, media representatives and well-wishers to attend the inauguration and the accompanying blood donation camp.
