Minister Sudhangshu Das Leads Aid Drive for Ailing Tripura Child

Tripura Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Sudhangshu Das has taken the initiative to mobilise financial assistance for the treatment of young Manashree Chowdhury, with two state-level associations responding to his appeal and extending support to the child’s family.
The Tripura Veterinary Doctors Association (TVDA) and the Tripura Government Fisheries Officers Association (TGFOA) came forward to provide financial assistance for Manashree’s medical treatment. The support was extended as the family continues to face the challenges associated with the child’s treatment and medical expenses.
On Friday, representatives of the two organisations handed over separate cheques to Manashree’s mother. The TVDA provided ₹1.50 lakh, while the TGFOA contributed ₹70,000. Together, the two associations extended financial assistance amounting to ₹2.20 lakh.
Minister Sudhangshu Das expressed his appreciation to both organisations for responding positively to his appeal and standing beside the family during this difficult period. He thanked the officials and members of the associations for their contribution and described their initiative as a commendable example of compassion, solidarity and humanitarian responsibility.
Das, in a social media post, highlighted the importance of extending a helping hand to families facing difficult circumstances, particularly when they are struggling to meet the expenses of critical medical treatment. He said the support provided by the two associations reflected the strength of collective humanity and social responsibility.
The minister also appealed to members of the public and different sections of society to come forward and support little Manashree. He urged people to strengthen the spirit of compassion and solidarity and extend assistance to the family in whatever way possible.
The initiative has brought together government officials and members of professional associations in a collective effort to support the young child and her family. The financial contributions from TVDA and TGFOA are expected to provide some assistance towards the ongoing medical expenses.
Das concluded his appeal by expressing hope for Manashree’s speedy recovery and urging people to keep the child and her family in their prayers during this challenging time.
The minister’s initiative and the response from the two associations underline the importance of collective support and humanitarian intervention when families are confronted with the financial and emotional burden of medical treatment.
