West Tripura Reviews Preparedness for ABDM Model District Initiative

A roadmap for transforming West Tripura into a model district under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was discussed at a review meeting held at the District Magistrate's Office on Monday, as officials deliberated on measures to make healthcare services more accessible and technology-driven.
The meeting, held at 11 a.m. in the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate's Office, focused on assessing the district's readiness and formulating a comprehensive strategy for the successful implementation of the ABDM framework across healthcare institutions in West Tripura.
According to the District Administration, discussions during the meeting covered several key areas, including strengthening digital health infrastructure, enhancing the generation of ABHA IDs, and ensuring seamless integration of healthcare facilities with the digital ecosystem. The need to improve data management systems and increase awareness among beneficiaries was also taken up during the deliberations.
Officials and stakeholders present at the meeting further discussed the roadmap for positioning West Tripura as a model district under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The objective, it is learned, is to ensure that healthcare services in the district become accessible, efficient, transparent and technology-driven for all citizens.
Meanwhile, the District Administration, West Tripura, reiterated its commitment to leveraging digital innovation to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve the overall quality of public health services in the district.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission aims to build an integrated digital health infrastructure across the country, and the selection of West Tripura for the Model District initiative is expected to give a fresh push to the district's healthcare digitisation efforts in the coming months.
