CM Manik Saha Hails AGMC-GBP Hospital’s Healthcare Milestone

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday said that Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital have evolved into much more than a premier healthcare institution, describing them as centres of humanity, learning, research, and compassionate care.

Addressing the Foundation Day celebration of AGMC and GBP Hospital, the Chief Minister highlighted the significant transformation in Tripura's healthcare sector over the past few years. He noted that the number of patients referred outside the state for advanced medical treatment has declined by nearly 80 per cent, reflecting the growing capabilities of the state's healthcare system.

Dr. Saha attributed this achievement to the relentless efforts of doctors, healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and the government's sustained focus on strengthening medical infrastructure and services.

Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the officials, doctors, healthcare workers, and students of AGMC and GBP Hospital, the Chief Minister praised their dedication and commitment to delivering quality healthcare. He said the institution continues to play a pivotal role in providing advanced medical treatment, promoting medical education and research, and serving the people of Tripura with compassion and excellence.

Reaffirming the government's commitment to improving healthcare, Dr. Saha expressed confidence that AGMC and GBP Hospital would continue to achieve greater milestones and further strengthen the state's medical services.
