Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday reviewed a series of proposed revenue reforms and directed officials to ensure their time-bound implementation to make public services more efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the review focused on several key initiatives, including automatic land mutation, simplification of land revenue procedures and tea estate management, ground-truthing of the NAKSHA project in Agartala, modern digital survey and demarcation of pending plots under BHUNAKSHA, rationalisation of circle rates, and demarcation of forest pattas using advanced survey equipment.
Dr. Saha said the proposed reforms are aimed at modernising the state's revenue administration while improving the delivery of land-related services through the use of technology and streamlined procedures.
He directed the Revenue Department to implement the reforms on the ground within a fixed timeframe so that revenue services become more people-friendly, delays in government work are minimised, and the ease of doing business is further strengthened.
The Chief Minister also emphasised that timely execution of the reforms would enhance transparency, accountability and efficiency in governance, ensuring faster and more reliable revenue services for the people of Tripura.
