Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Sudhangshu Das on Monday said he chaired a district-level review meeting in Unakoti to assess the implementation of welfare schemes and ensure that government benefits reach eligible beneficiaries without delay.

In a social media post, the minister said the meeting was held at the conference hall of the Unakoti Circuit House with officials and local representatives from across the district. The review focused on the implementation of schemes under the Scheduled Caste Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development departments for the 2026–27 financial year.

According to the minister, the discussions examined whether beneficiaries under the three departments were receiving government assistance in a timely manner. He said detailed deliberations were also held to identify ways to expedite the implementation of various departmental projects and improve the delivery of welfare services at the grassroots level.

Sudhangshu Das stressed the importance of effective coordination among officials to ensure that development programmes are implemented efficiently and that deserving beneficiaries receive the intended support without unnecessary delays.

The minister said the review meeting reflects the state government's continued commitment to closely monitor welfare initiatives and strengthen the implementation of development programmes across Tripura.
