US, Iran Trade Strikes as Conflict Enters 12th Night

The United States and Iran continued exchanging attacks as US forces launched a 12th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian targets, with both sides increasingly focusing on infrastructure linked to civilian life.
US Central Command said the latest operations were aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to threaten civilian maritime traffic and commercial vessels operating in regional waters. The strikes come as Washington seeks to restore freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and reopen key shipping routes.
US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran would face further consequences if it targets ships in the strait, saying the United States would strike critical infrastructure, including bridges and power facilities, in response.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Tehran would follow an “eye for an eye” defence strategy. He warned that any aggression against Iran, including attacks on its infrastructure, would trigger a strong and decisive response.
The escalating confrontation has raised concerns over the impact on regional stability, global energy supplies, and civilian infrastructure across the region.
