Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday reaffirmed the Tripura government's commitment to building a modern, technology-driven and citizen-centric administration, saying the primary objective is to improve people's quality of life through efficient and accessible civic services.
Addressing a programme at Swami Vivekananda Maidan after inaugurating a series of development projects and citizen-centric initiatives of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), Dr. Saha said balanced development of both urban and rural areas is essential for the state's overall progress.
The Chief Minister said the government is preserving Tripura's rich heritage and cultural identity while embracing modern technology to make public services more transparent, efficient and accessible. He reiterated the government's vision of transforming Agartala into a "clean, green, healthy, technology-enabled and citizen-friendly" city through a series of ongoing development initiatives.
Stressing the importance of people-centric governance, Dr. Saha said the true success of any development project lies in the positive changes it brings to the everyday lives of citizens. He asserted that the state government remains committed to public welfare and will continue working relentlessly to accelerate Tripura's development.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, the Chief Minister said his government is focused on development while others remain occupied with criticism. He also urged corporators and other elected representatives to stay connected with the people and earn their trust through sincerity, dedication and continuous public service.
As part of the programme, the Agartala Municipal Corporation launched the Sabuj Sena Amar Agartala mobile application, initiated a Mosquito-Free Campaign, and flagged off 51 three-wheeler vehicles to strengthen waste collection and sanitation services across the city.
Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder, AMC officials, corporators and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
