MP Biplab Deb Flags Highway Woes, Seeks Faster Infrastructure Push

Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday, through a social media post, said he met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to discuss key road infrastructure issues concerning the state.
In his post, Deb highlighted the deteriorating condition of several National Highway stretches, the slow pace of ongoing projects being executed by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), and the progress of proposed ropeway projects in Tripura.
According to Deb, Union Minister Gadkari took immediate note of the concerns and directed the NHIDCL Managing Director to undertake urgent repair and maintenance of damaged National Highway stretches while ensuring that ongoing projects are expedited without delay.
Expressing his gratitude, Deb thanked the Union Minister for his prompt intervention and continued support towards strengthening Tripura's road connectivity and accelerating infrastructure development. He said the Centre's timely action would help improve transportation facilities and boost the state's overall growth.
